The first Central Coast Rugby League competition commenced in 1913 and the Ourimbah Club switched codes and won the Inaugral Premiership after defeating Erina 3-0. The competition was then known as the Frew Cup. During the Early years of Central Coast Rugby League the Ourimbah Club were never out of the Final Series. In 1918 the club changed it's colours to black and white and became known as the Ourimbah Magpies. The 1919 and 1920 competitions were known as the O'Brien Cup. Ourimbah were premiers during both seasons.

  During the next 40 years the club was always in the finals. During season 1938 and 1939 the club had such great depth they were able to field two First Grade Teams, while during the 1960's Ourimbah was the power force of the competition winning 5 premierships in a row.

In recent years Ourimbah was very successful in 1996 with the Magpies winning the minor and major premierships in 2nd grade. Also, U/17's Premiers in 2002 and U/19's premiers in 2003 and U/19's premiers in 2005. Players that played in the 2002, 2003 and 2005 grand finals have now developed through to Grade which has meant new found success for the Ourimbah Magpies in 2006 taking out the minor premiership in 2nd Grade and coming third in 1st Grade with a new found culture of loyalty and pathways for local juniors. With the attraction to players, 2007 could be the start of the club becoming the power force of the competition again.

Ourimbah returned to a 1st Grade Grand Final appearance in 2008, both 1st and 2nd Grade made the finals in 2009 but it was 2010 when 1st Grade were Minor Premiers and went on to win the Grand Final which had eluded them for 50 years. 2011 was another successful year with 1st Grade again Minor Premiers and Grand Finalists and also U/19's, the new Open Age division and 2nd Grade making the Finals. The club was runner up in the Club Championship.

Ourimbah's first international was Batchelor Jones who represented the Waratah'sagainst tha All Blacks prior to the club joining the Rugby League Competition. Over the years the club has boasted many fine players who have gone onto prominence for Optus and Telstra Cup teams, such as Robbie Ross who represented NSW and Australia at schoolboy level, First Grade in 1997 for the Hunter Mariners and went on to play for Melbourne Storm NRL also Adam Carlaw Ourimbah Junior, went on to play the Auckland Warriors NRL, Perry Hadick, Ourimbah Junior, went on to play for Cronulla Sharks, Michael Fortier, Junior Life Member, with the Newcastle Knights, but the most successful is International, State of Origin David Farleigh. Who in 1994 was the recipient of the prestigious Rothman's Medal for the Best & Fairest player in what was then the Winfield Cup.
